A full-time professional sports gambler, who started a betting journey back in 2017. Starting with staking £1 bets with a modest £50 in a bet365 account; growing this into a full-time job making over six-figures in sports betting. My personal mission is to bring honesty to the world of sports betting; to educate and help people turn from a recreational gambler into a professional. My personal goal is to support others to achieve similar success by showing them how to treat sports betting as an investment opportunity.
My Experience in Sports Betting
After graduating with a First Class Master's degree in Mathematics, I thought I'd apply to the banking industry. However, given my relatively little work experience the rejection letters were unsurprising... Time for a re-think! I decided to combine the two things I like most; sport and mathematics. My first professional job was working for a leading UK bookmaker as a football trader and quantitative analyst. The quant role took over for me, where I was helping build the In-Play football model you currently bet on today. The company I worked for still uses this model to trade games and publishes these odds to other bookmakers' websites. If you ever wondered why all the In-Play odds are so similar, it's probably because the same person is trading for multiple bookies. If you were betting around 4 years ago, it's highly likely you were betting on a game I was pricing! Especially if you were betting on the 2018 World Cup long-term markets, since my position was the Head of World Cup Long-term during this period. It was my responsibility to build, price up and maintain the Monte Carlo simulation which would forecast markets like tournament winner, golden boot, tournament goals, team goals, group winners, tournament total cards, tournament corners etc... As you can imagine it was a fantastic job during the World Cup, where I can say I was one of the few lucky people that watched every single game and traded throughout!
Whilst working at the betting company, in my spare time I would build models from scratch to bet on anything I perceived to have value. Whether this be football, horse racing, betting on yet another Prime Minister, or who would win Love Island. Although, Love Island was just for fun, since they are a pretty unpredictable bunch! After great success in both football and horse racing I decided to take an educated risk and venture out on my own. Being a full-time professional sports gambler, I was able to invest all of my time and resources into sports betting. Building up a catalogue of successful models, reading further academic papers to gain ideas of how to apply abstract statistics to improve accuracy, strengthening my knowledge and improving betting techniques. I used this opportunity to sharpen my betting against the best by betting in Asia where liquidity is higher, markets are more accurate and there isn't an account limiting policy.
After a very successful few years, I was looking for a new challenge. I have always wanted to own a business and grow it from the ground up. So I could experience things like: marketing, strategy, financing, building the infrastructure and website, and everything else that comes with setting up a business. Another motivation was the potential to balance the playing field by helping a community succeed against the bookies, who have dominated for so many years. I am excited to share this journey with you!
Gambling often has a negative connotation to it. However, utilising the tools that inplayfootballtips provides there is a fantastic opportunity to make a secondary or even primary income from betting. For far too long tipster's have put a negative light on the industry, with a lack of understanding of value, transparency and the inner workings of the betting industry. Trading this off for a large social media presence because they landed a large accumulator back in 2016! I'm looking to build a network of people who are willing to learn, build a bankroll and not just seek cheap wins at the expense of value.
As you can see from the
profits page on the website we post every bet we have ever tipped to have full transparency with our audience. From this you can really gauge both the highs and the lows you will experience from the volatility of sports betting. But should this put you off? Hell no! In fact, in any investment, volatility is where you can find the best opportunities should you manage risk correctly.
